What Does it Mean to be an Initiate?
To become an initiate, or adept, in a lineage Mystery School is a rare privilege and profound honor. For they hold a special role in the evolution of humanity, influencing shifts on the planet to align them with the Mind of God and the Great Work of which we are all a part.
And initiates exist in all walks of life all over the world, often in the most unlikely of places and hidden in plain sight. Serving as lighthouses for the Light and Love of God from above to flow through them and anchor & weave into the fabric of reality and collective consciousness here on Earth below.
Which is no small feat, as you can imagine. So to be prepared to serve this expanded purpose and function, initiates require an expanded form and elevated ability to BE in the world. Which comes from special training and tools to support them in continually purifying their bodies and minds, transcending their human consciousness and helping them remain in integrity with the Light. Additionally, they require special knowledge of the Great Work, of the structure of Heaven, the orders of Archangels and Angels, and who each of us truly is as a Child of God. And they strongly benefit from a path and a community within which to grow and support one another in this very special, but also very challenging calling.
From my own experience being an initiate and studying with the Modern Mystery School since June 2015, it affirmed a calling and the presence of a mission that I’ve known about since I was a tiny child. That I was here to protect, to guide, and to open the portals that will transport and ascend all of us to a new state of being - a New World. But to be aware of this purpose for over 30 years but not have the proper tools, knowledge, or guidance to manifest it clearly, it created suffering within me and difficulty knowing what was real and what was not.
This was especially so given the way that my extrasensory gifts were diagnosed and treated as mental health issues. From my awakening at the age of 4 until I was 11, I believed that what I was seeing and hearing was real, and I did my best to share and make sense of what I was seeing and hearing beyond the veil. However, with no one to acknowledge my psychic abilities and help me navigate them, I appeared mentally unstable and sick. It seemed to frighten people. And ironically, the more I shared and the more I hit that wall of fear and misunderstanding, the more agitated, anxious and unwell I became as I realized I was alone. Which led me to eventually giving in and allowing myself to be medicated and intermittently hospitalized beginning at the age of 12 for a variety of diagnoses - including Bipolar, Narcolepsy, ADD, OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, etc. - in order to avoid being isolated and to have a chance at being “normal.”
So when the Modern Mystery School found me in 2015 at the age of 36, during a major turning point in my life, it was like an answer to may childhood prayers. To find, or be found by, a human teacher who was gifted and had done the work to master their gifts so that they could help me do the same. And when I finally began receiving the training and guidance to control my gifts and live my purpose from others who are like me, beginning with the Empower Thyself Initiation and continuing on until today, it was one of the greatest reliefs I have ever known. Like a fulfillment of a great prophecy in my own Universe. The re-introduction of a long lost piece of the puzzle that helped make everything else finally snap into place in a way that made sense.
And so now, I have the privilege of holding the door for others as it was held for me. To be a lighthouse for those who are awakening currently, those who awakened long ago, and those who know they have a significant mission and are seeking special training, guidance, and support from a human teacher in the physical. To offer a hand to those who are ready to do the inner work to honor their gifts, their purpose, and their role in shifting humanity towards Peace, Joy and Compassion. To help them break through.
To help them know that they’re not alone.
In service of transparency, the path of the initiate is not for the faint of heart, those who do not wish to change, nor those who do not wish to be of service through their gifts. The core essence of this path, which stretches back over 8,000 years to the time of Hermes Trismegistus, is transformation. And once you step onto the path, nothing will be as it was ever again. It facilitates seeing through to the deeper layers of reality, yourself and others. And with every step you take as an initiate, you will be presented with the opportunity to transform, to level up your power and access to the full potential of your gifts, and to become even more of who you were uniquely created to be.
